Without the overwhelm.
Use plain-language guides, downloadable templates, and current U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) guidance.
The three certificate identifiers.
For a Reference Partner Government Agency (PGA) Message Set, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) uses three Certificate Identifiers: Certifier identifier (ID), Product ID, and Version ID. A stock-keeping unit (SKU) may be the Product ID only when that is the identifier used and confirmed in the CPSC Product Registry.

Use the three identifiers shown in the Product Registry.
For a Reference Partner Government Agency (PGA) Message Set handoff, capture the real identifiers after the authorized U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Product Registry step and preserve them separately. Each identifier (ID) identifies the certifier, product, or certificate version. Reg-Relay prepares agreed inputs; the responsible importer or authorized trade partner certifies.
Certifier ID
The Certifier ID confirmed in the Registry workflow.
Product ID
The Registry Product ID, not an assumed catalog stock-keeping unit (SKU).
Version ID
The Version ID identifying the applicable certificate version.
Optional blank educational templates only, not the completed service deliverable, official CPSC templates, certificates, or ready-to-submit files. The CPSC Product Registry does not automatically transmit to CBP’s Automated Commercial Environment (ACE).
