Service terms at a glance
- Before work begins, we agree the products, approved sources, fixed fee, delivery format, and target schedule.
- Reg-Relay performs the agreed evidence retrieval, follow-up, reconciliation, and package assembly. The importer reviews and certifies; the importer or filing partner submits.
- Products with unresolved evidence, testing, or decisions are documented as blocked or excluded and stay out of the ready package.
- Scope changes, outside costs, and timing require agreement. Specialist costs are explained and approved before work proceeds.
The Reg-Relay preparation service
A client engagement begins only after scope, source access, permissions, and acceptance terms are agreed. The public form accepts a request for review. Every request and invitation is handled by a Reg-Relay administrator; form submission does not start work, contact suppliers, authorize an engagement, collect payment, or accept an order. Product scope, authorized sources, timing, and acceptance terms must be confirmed before an engagement.
Reg-Relay’s preparation service collects evidence and prepares certificate data for an agreed product scope. It does not provide legal advice, conduct product testing, issue certifications, transmit U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) filings, or guarantee agency acceptance. Unresolved regulatory judgments require specialist review. The responsible importer retains final accuracy and certification responsibility; the client or filing partner submits through the required channel.
Certificate maintenance: Under Development
Certificate maintenance is Under Development and is not generally available. It is excluded from the current preparation service and does not create an ongoing service, payment obligation, work commitment, or access guarantee.
What Reg-Relay prepares
For the agreed scope, Reg-Relay performs requirements mapping using reviewed guidance, authorized evidence retrieval, requests and follow-up with approved suppliers or laboratories, document reconciliation, completeness checks, and package assembly. Routine missing-data collection is not delegated back to the client. Whether a General Certificate of Conformity (GCC) or Children’s Product Certificate (CPC) is relevant is scoped and reviewed, not assumed.
Specialist review
When a question needs specialist review, Reg-Relay identifies the question, determines the needed review function, and agrees a review path based on the relevant rule and product experience. Any added specialist cost is explained and approved before proceeding. Reg-Relay does not promise a particular credential, reviewer, availability, or outcome.
What “certification-ready” means
The required preparation information is complete for the agreed products and route; material facts are linked to source records; material conflicts and required specialist reviews are resolved; and the catalog, evidence package, and certificate drafts are assembled for the responsible importer’s final review and certification. It does not mean already certified, legally guaranteed, or agency-approved.
What “submission handoff ready” means
The importer has reviewed and certified the final information and all route-specific prerequisites are satisfied. For a Reference Partner Government Agency (PGA) route, this includes the actual U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Product Registry identifier (ID) values after the authorized Registry step. For a Full PGA route, Reg-Relay prepares the agreed data handoff without inventing Registry identifiers. The client or filing partner submits through the required channel; a generic zipped archive (ZIP) or comma-separated values (CSV) file is not automatically an accepted filing format.
Exceptions and blocked products
Missing or inaccessible evidence, absent testing, unresolved contradictions, and unsettled applicability prevent a ready label. Reg-Relay presents the blocker, retrieval history, recommended resolution, and specific decision needed. A partial delivery must identify excluded or blocked products and be expressly agreed; incomplete products are not silently counted as complete.
What stays with the responsible parties
The client authorizes source access, approved contacts, and expenses, and confirms facts only it can know. The responsible importer remains accountable for final accuracy and certification. The client or filing partner handles official submission. Reg-Relay does not manufacture test results, conduct physical testing, or certify in place of the importer.
Scope and commercial terms
One-time evidence-preparation fees start at U.S. dollars (USD) 349 for one product, USD 799 for 2 to 5 products, and USD 1,499 for 6 to 15 products. Larger or complex work receives a fixed quote. A product means a distinct model requiring its own evidence review and certificate information, not automatically every catalog row or color variation. Before work begins, Reg-Relay confirms the products, fixed fee, outside costs, and target schedule.
Standard scope uses existing supporting evidence, one agreed submission pathway and handoff format, and up to one manufacturer/factory for the one-product option, two for 2 to 5 products, and three for 6 to 15 products. It includes an initial request and two follow-up attempts per approved source within the agreed follow-up period, plus one customer review and correction round. Complex evidence access, more sources, a new submission pathway, or additional correction rounds require an agreed quote. Reg-Relay does not promise a turnaround time; the target schedule depends on the agreed scope, suppliers, laboratories, and customer approvals.
The initial 50% payment covers preparation actually performed. The remaining 50% is due when the agreed ready package is available for final review; if only some agreed products are ready, that completion portion is prorated for those products. Before accepting a partial package, the parties agree the excluded products and resulting balance. If an engagement ends before initial preparation work is performed, its unearned portion is refunded under the written engagement terms. If an agreed package contains an error in Reg-Relay’s own preparation work, Reg-Relay corrects that error without a new preparation fee. Changes to product facts or newly supplied evidence are scoped separately.
New testing, samples or shipping, translation, independent specialist or legal advice, customs filing, broker fees, and work outside the agreed scope are not included. Any extra scope or third-party cost is explained and approved before proceeding.
If you do not have a broker yet
Reg-Relay may review your request to determine whether an appropriate recipient and submission pathway can be agreed. That review does not promise brokerless filing. The responsible importer or an authorized filing partner must still handle submission through the required channel.
Request, invitation, and catalog upload boundary
A public request contains contact details, company, an approximate product count, an optional short note, and affirmative consent. A Reg-Relay administrator reviews the request before any invitation is sent. Invitations use a single-use link that expires after seven days. Invitees may submit up to three authorized source files, up to 5 megabytes (MB) each, in common spreadsheet, text, Portable Document Format (PDF), Word, or image formats, or continue without a file. Invitees can first inspect a temporary optical character recognition (OCR) reading, correct its text and factual fields, and submit the reviewed version. Optional assisted field suggestions require separate opt-in and send only limited corrected text, not the original file, to a configured model provider. On submission, originals, bounded extraction previews, and client corrections are available only in the owner-authenticated review queue, are not placed in a public file bucket, and share the case’s 30-day retention period. Uncertain field mappings and formats requiring human review are not marked complete. A daily retention job is configured to remove submitted case data when its 30-day retention period expires. Contact Reg-Relay to arrange earlier deletion. The initial request is not itself authority for Reg-Relay to begin work; specific collection access and supplier outreach still require an agreed scope and explicit authorization.
The free scanner and example downloads
The scanner is only a local seven-field diagnostic: it checks field presence and valid calendar dates. It does not read reports, verify citations or authenticity, determine all applicable rules, or establish certification readiness. Its gap reports and review sheets are not the service’s finished deliverable.
Example package data and source excerpts are entirely fictional and labeled as such. They illustrate structure and traceability, not real product evidence, actual supplier contact, approved certification, or an official submission schema. Do not use them for filing.
