Begin with the product, not the spreadsheet
Create a consistent identifier for each product and connect it to the corresponding supplier documents, test records, and certificates. A readable catalog is a starting point, not proof that the product meets a regulatory requirement. Confirm product-specific scope with an authorized reviewer before preparing final certificate data.
Assemble the seven factual fields
Reg-Relay checks for a product identifier, citation codes, manufacture date, manufacture place, product test date, testing laboratory, and records contact. These are a practical readiness screen, not a substitute for official certificate or Product Registry requirements. The scanner checks presence and calendar-date validity; it cannot authenticate a report or validate a citation.
Resolve uncertainty explicitly
Do not guess at missing facts. Mark uncertain product scope for review. Request missing dates, locations, laboratory details, and record contacts from the appropriate supplier or laboratory. Keep the underlying evidence available so the importer can cross-check every value.
Prepare the review, then the handoff
For self-serve review, the free scanner exports a gap report and review sheet. In the Reg-Relay service, those gaps become internal collection tasks: Reg-Relay retrieves evidence, follows up, reconciles records, and assembles the completed package. Products with unresolved blockers are not marked ready. The responsible importer reviews and certifies before the client or filing partner submits through the required channel.
Check current guidance before making product-specific or filing decisions.
Reg-Relay helps organize the evidence. An authorized importer must review and certify the final data.
Reg-Relay’s preparation service collects evidence and prepares certificate data for an agreed product scope. It does not provide legal advice, conduct product testing, issue certifications, transmit U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) filings, or guarantee agency acceptance. Unresolved regulatory judgments require specialist review. The responsible importer retains final accuracy and certification responsibility; the client or filing partner submits through the required channel.
